Pronounced “Ō-Bane,” Aubaine is the French term for “Windfall.” The green wave on the label represents the Eola-Amity Hills, and the blue wave represents the winds of the Van Duzer Corridor. Our inaugural release came from the 2019 vintage, crafted from our beautiful Anahata Vineyard.
We currently have two separate estate vineyards. Our first is Anahata Vineyard which surrounds our high end luxury retreat, AtTheJoy. The name of the vineyard is the Sanskrit word for the heart chakra, with blocks named after translations of the word JOY. Planted in 2015 to various clones of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, Anahata is the first expression of our single-vineyard estate wine project.
Our second legacy property is the Windfall Vineyard, a 117-acre masterpiece on the west side of the Eola-Amity Hills, directly facing the Van Duzer Corridor. The steady winds funneled through this gap create the perfect environment for its southwest-facing slopes, yielding Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of remarkable purity. The long, warm days and cool nights at Windfall provide the balance and structure that will define world-class wines for years to come. Fruit from Windfall was first harvested in 2024 and will debut in Aubaine’s upcoming releases.
